Press Down? Emergency Extrusion Tooling, Answered the Same Business Day.
Same-Business-Day Emergency Response
Every emergency request gets a real phone conversation with a technical rep. the same business day, never more than 24 hours.
What to Have Ready When You Call
The more details you give us on that first call, the faster we can get a replacement moving. Some things that help:
- Your press size and tonnage
- A photo of the tool and the damage
- The print or part number
- How soon you need it in-hand
Don’t have all of it? Call us anyway. We’ll work through what’s missing on the phone. A press that’s down shouldn’t wait on paperwork.
How to Prevent an Emergency Call
A press that’s run out of dummy blocks or a cracked container should never be the reason your press sits.
- We keep dummy blocks in stock for 90+ customers, including quick-change designs built for fast rotation. We can stock yours, too.
- We recommend keeping three containers in rotation: one in the press, one on standby, and one getting relined or repaired.
For our customers, downtime costs an average $2,500/hr. Double or triple that for a large press. An ounce of prevention is worth the $60,000+ you’ll save in unplanned downtime.
Tooling in Hand in Days, Not Weeks
Whatever the problem, we work through it with you and you have tooling in days, not weeks.
- CONTAINER RELINE: relined and delivered in 3 days
- NEW CONTAINER: built, delivered, and back in the press in 8 days
- SHEAR BLADE: delivered to a new customer, no prior relationship, in 3 days
Those are real examples of what’s happened and a fair picture of what we mean by fast.
Emergency Press Tooling FAQs
General FAQs
How fast do you respond to an emergency tooling request?
The same business day, never more than 24 hours. Every request gets a real phone conversation with our press tooling team.
How long does emergency tooling take to deliver?
It depends on the tool. Recent examples: a container reline in 3 days, a shear blade in 5, and a new container built, delivered, and in the press in 8. These are real examples, not guarantees.
What are the most common tooling emergencies?
A cracked container and running out of dummy blocks. Keeping dummy blocks in stock and a backup container on hand covers both.
Do I need to be an existing customer?
No. One recent shear blade went to a new customer with no prior relationship and was delivered in 5 days.
