Computer-assisted design is the first step in assuring that each die we produce is correct so that our customers' extrusion process can proceed as planned.

Our CAD CAM system is completely integrated to machining centers, including our CNC Mill and Wire EDM machines. Our modern CNC equipment then machines tools to extreme tolerances. These become dies that will produce a high quality extrusion rapidly and with very little waste.

Our Engineering Department uses the latest in design software, which facilitates us in a new and creative method of producing a hollow design.

Excellence in both solid and hollow die design is our top priority in the TTE Engineering Department. We are committed to customer satisfaction and hold our commitment to high quality standards through effective communication with our customers.

Our Engineering Department completes up to 500 designs a week, including press tooling. We produce profiles to customer specifications and as we receive the geometry, dimensions and tolerances are checked.

TTE's Engineering Department has a design file base of more than 500,000 successful dies that continues to grow and act as a significant resource for assuring die repeatability and continuous improvement.

Dies that run successfully more than 90% the first time becomes the result of the collaborative efforts between our engineering and technical staff specialists along with our customers. Together they help our customers optimize die designs, and minimize die trials and correction.
